In this role, you will be responsible for developing lighting concepts, producing detailed technical designs, and ensuring the successful implementation of lighting systems that meet both functional and aesthetic goals. Responsibilities
Develop lighting concepts and detailed designs for outdoor applications , including public lighting, sports facilities, architectural exteriors, infrastructure, and road & street projects. Create lighting layouts, fixture schedules, and control system schemes using tools such as Dialux, Relux, AGi32, AutoCAD, Revit, or Vectorworks. Perform photometric calculations and simulations to ensure optimal lighting performance, compliance, and visual comfor t. Select appropriate lighting fixtures, technologies, and control strategies aligned with project specifications, efficiency targets, and design intent. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, project managers, and contractors throughout all project phases. Prepare and present lighting concepts, visualizations, and technical documentation to clients and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, industry standards, and sustainability requirements. Support on-site inspections, installations, aiming, and commissioning activities when required. Stay up to date with lighting trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously enhance project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
You bring proven experience in lighting design, ideally around two to three years, depending on seniority. You have a strong technical capability with lighting design and simulation tools such as Dialux, Relux, AGi32 , along with CAD/BIM platforms like AutoCAD or Revit. You have a Bachelor’s degree in Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You have a solid understanding of lighting principles, photometry, optics, and color theory. You are experienced in outdoor lighting applications, including urban environments, sports facilities, infrastructure, roads, and public spaces. You know relevant lighting standards , particularly for sports and public lighting applications. You bring strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills, with close attention to detail. You are a confident communicator, able to clearly present design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders . You can manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment. You have experience or interest in sustainable lighting practices, control systems (e.g., DALI, DMX, KNX), and bring a portfolio demonstrating your technical and creative capabilities.
